Keep in mind, these tips are for clients who want to maintain the colors at home after a salon service.
Okay, so you desire to upkeep the colors at home? That's great and good hear that you're keeping up the looks at home. Let's get started.
Option 1: You may mix haircolor in bottle of shampoo/conditioner .. or
Option 2: You may mix haircolor and shampoo in a plastic bowl and mix it per wash/rinse session
Tools & Supplies:
1. Insashible Moisture Care Shampoo for its color protectant and ph level-friendly
2. Insashible Color Care Conditioner to keep your hair soft and locks in the color
3. Vibrant semi-haircolor of your choice. (You may purchase these at your local beauty supply stores such as Sally's Beauty. Brands like Manic Panic, or Ion Semi.)
5. Additional tools may be used in case you're not able to get color in bottles: funnel, plastic disposable spoon, miing brush, or plastic bowl
STEP ONE: Pour semi-haircolor into the shampoo bottle. Shake them until mix thoroughly. Apply shampoo to hair but do not super scrub, super rub, super massage your hair and scalp. Just enough where dirt and oil is removed. A little bit of color may come off. It's normal. Just as long a whole lot isn't coming out then that means you used too much shampoo. Lessen it next time. Rinse with cool water (helps keep the hair cuticles down).
STEP TWO: Pour semi-haircolor into the conditioner bottle. Shake them until mix thoroughly.(Keep in mind, that the less color you mix with the conditioner, the lighter of shade the color will be. The more color you mix with the conditioner, the darker and vibrant the color will be.) Apply conditioner to hair and leave it as long as you can before you rinse it out. The longer you keep it on your hair, the longer it'll last. Rinse with cool water.
STEP THREE: Repeat this once a week. If you really need to shampoo more often than suggested, I recommend just using the conditioner as a wash/rinse inbetween shampooing. But scrub out as much dead skin cells as possible. Again, use cool water.
As a friendly reminder, Semi-permanent only coats the outside of your hair. It is the reason why color does not last. Good luck to you and enjoy the colors of the rainbow!
